My outreach and community engagement activities involve regular participation, in collaboration with the Canadian government, in multinational policy dialogues on political and strategic affairs in the Asia-Pacific, alongside representatives of governments from the region (mainly: Foreign Affairs and Defence), academia, and civil society. In addition to more ad hoc initiatives, and my current role as a Distinguished Fellow of the Asia-Pacific Foundation of Canada, these policy dialogues include: the Asia-Pacific Roundtable, the Shangri-La Dialogue, the Canada-Japan Peace and Security Symposium, the Council for Security Cooperation in the Asia-Pacific, and the ASEAN Regional Forum's Expert and Eminent Persons Group. As a co-lead of the Asia-Pacific Team within the Defence and Security Foresight (DSF) Group, I also participate in outreach events that provide opportunities to engage the Canadian defence sector/armed forces, such as the Halifax International Security Forum. Finally, I am a member of the Board of Directors of the bilingual Network for Strategic Analysis, spearheaded by Stéfanie von Hlatky (Queen's) and Justin Massie (UQÀM), and a member of the Research Network on Women, Peace and Security, led by Jennifer Welsh (McGill), Yolande Bouka (Queen's) and Erin Baines (UBC).

Beyond ad hoc consulting work, outputs deriving from these activities include:
